Start transaxle rear support insulator service and repair by hoisting the vehicle in neutral and then removing its splash shield bolts while you also detach the shield before reinstalling all bolts with 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.) torque. Start by removing the 2 bolts at the bottom of the transaxle rear support insulator while torquing them to 63 Nm (46 ft. lbs.) when reinstalling. You should lower the vehicle while following these steps to remove the battery and battery tray. Begin by disconnecting the positive battery cable retainer then remove the battery tray nut and bolt while tightening the bolt to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.). The power distribution box can be placed aside after removing its 2 bolts and nut and pulling it upward to unclip the pushpin and disconnecting the 2 electrical connectors. To support the transaxle along with a suitable floor jack you must unscrew the four remaining bolts from the transaxle rear support insulator. Install new mount studs properly into their designated case seats followed by bolt tightening to 63 Nm (46 ft. lbs.) torque.
