Front Mount

The first step for transmission mount service starts with positioning the FNR5 in NEUTRAL mode on a hoist before removing the battery and battery tray. Start by using the Engine Support Bar to stabilize the engine before removing both bracket bolts and frame bolts on the transaxle support insulator. You need to unscrew the 4 screws on the LH fender splash shield before setting it aside and then remove the 6 pin-type retainers and the LH front structure-to-subframe splash shield. The transaxle support insulator needs both frame bolts removal followed by its extraction from the system. Before installing the frame bolts of the transaxle support insulator you must clean them with a wire brush then apply new threadlock between the threads. Install the transaxle support insulator and fasten its frame bolts with a torque of 62 Nm (46 lb-ft). First install the LH splash shield by tightening in 4 screws then the LH front structure-to-subframe splash shield using its 6 pin-type retainers. Fitting the 2 frame bolts for the transaxle support insulator frame requires 62 Nm (46 lb-ft) torque setting before moving on to tighten the 2 bracket bolts of the insulator support with 90 Nm (66 lb-ft). Terminating the process involves removing the Engine Support Bar while reinstalling the battery and its tray.

Remove the clutch hydraulic tube spring clip and push downward on the clutch tube to release it from the bracket, followed by removing the clutch hydraulic tube plastic retainer and the transaxle mount.
