How to Service the Engine Oil Pressure Switch on Lincoln MKZ?

Service of the Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch starts by hoisting the vehicle in NEUTRAL transmission position. There are six underbody shield screws which need to be removed if applicable. The procedure begins by disconnecting the electrical connector from the EOP switch followed by switching out the whole unit. Before tightening the new EOP switch use PTFE thread sealant on its threads followed by torquing it to 18 Nm (13 ft. lbs. torque). The installation process ends by performing the reversed steps of removal.
