How to service and repair the rear suspension sway bar link on Lincoln Navigator?

The sway bar link service and repair procedure starts with hoisting the vehicle into NEUTRAL position on a station. The hex-holding feature allows torque-free stud operation to remove the four sway bar link nuts and the links which should be discarded afterward. Next, follow the step of removing the stone shields before moving on to remove the sway bar bracket nuts as well as the sway bar brackets and sway bar while discarding all nuts. The installation process requires torquing sway bar links with new nuts at 63 Nm (46 lb-ft) while sway bar brackets need 48 Nm (35 lb-ft). The sway bar bushings should get replaced if needed and the bar must be installed correctly with its center hump pointing down so the bushings should sit outside the upset rings on the sway bar. After attaching the sway bar link stone shields at their attachment points, you should reverse the removal process to conclude the installation.
