How to service and repair the turn signal switch on Lincoln Zephyr?

The first step to maintain the turn signal switch starts with disconnecting battery ground cable service. A removal of the instrument panel steering column cover requires pulling on its tabs that attach to the instrument panel. Start by taking out the steering column shroud at its upper side after you press inward on both sides to release it. Move on by releasing the tilt lever followed by taking off the three screws to remove the lower steering column shroud. After disconnecting the multi-function switch electrical connector you must remove its two mounting screws prior to switch removal. The installation ends by reversing the steps used for removal.
