How to Service the Front Seat Belt and Retractor on Mercury Cougar?

In order to service the front seat belt and retractor, position the seat front, take out the rear quarter panel trim and remove the upper seat belt anchor. Take out the waist guide loop, lower seat belt anchor rail, and seat belt assembly. To install, step backwards.

To service the rear seat belt and retractor, access the rear quarter panel with the removal of lower and upper seat belt anchors and the lowering of the backrest of the seat and the release. Unweave the C-pillar, pull the retractor dout and pull the webbing through the holes of the latch and install it.
