You should start by untightening the five bolts holding the right-hand splash shield while making sure each bolt gets 9 Nm torque (80 inch lbs.) when reinstalling it later on. The service process starts by extracting the oil level indicator followed by removing two bolts securing the oil level indicator tube. Reinstallation of these bolts requires tightening them to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.). Before fitting the new O-ring for the level indicator tube discard the worn-out seal then apply engine oil to it before performing the reinstall steps in reverse order.
