Detach the liftgate latch remote control actuating rods through the process of opening the retaining clips that enable removal of the liftgate window latch actuating rod and both liftgate latch and liftgate handle actuating rods. The service process requires users to disconnect liftgate actuator electrical connectors when equipped along with releasing the wiring harness for the liftgate window latch ajar switch. Taking out the single screw and two nuts will enable you to release the liftgate latch remote control assembly. The installation process requires tightening of the nuts to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) and screw tightening to 3 Nm (27 lb-in). The process should stop and all required components should be moved back to their original positions.
