    Q: How to Service and Repair the Crankshaft Position Sensor on Mercury Mariner?
    A: You should start Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor service by placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL position while using a hoist to secure it. Take away the 5 bolts as well as the pin-type retainer and right-hand splash shield. The crankshaft should be turned clockwise until its pulley hole reaches the 3 o'clock orientation before uninstalling the engine plug bolt.
