How to Service the Air Duct Outlet Pipe on Mercury Milan?

Begin your air cleaner outlet pipe service by disconnecting three components: crankcase vent tube and vacuum tube together with the secondary air injection air hose. When working on partial zero emission vehicles operators should remove the secondary air injection air hose from the air cleaner outlet pipe. Before reinstalling the airflowpipe to the air cleaner you should erase its clamp using 3 Nm torque setting (27 lb-in) during reassembly. First disconnect the throttle body-connecting clamp between the air cleaner outlet pipe and the throttle body before extracting the pipe. Reinstallation requires the clamp to get tightened to 5 Nm (44 lb-in). The air cleaner outlet pipe needs complete sealing after installation to stop unmetered air from entering the engine and needs to be installed by reversing the removal process.
