How to service the water pump on a 2.3L engine on Mercury Milan?

Service procedures for the coolant pump on a 2.3L engine start with hoisting the vehicle with neutral transmission and cooling system drainage. Unlock the three bolts on the coolant pump pulley then take away the accessory drive belt and the three bolts from the coolant pump pulley before retightening them to 20 Nm (15 lb-ft) after replacement. First detach the three bolts from the coolant pump and remove it while discarding the O-ring seal. Fasten the new pump bolts while applying 10 Nm torque (89 lb-inch) before using clean engine coolant to lubricate the O-ring seal. You should complete the service by filling and bleeding the cooling system.
