In order to change the parking brake cable, de-tension, disassemble 3 bracket bolts (tighten to 12 Nm) and un-link the intermediate cable with the front and rear cables. Disconnect the LH rear cable, and then repeat the steps of installation, and check the parking brake system to make sure it is working.

In order to repair the intermediate parking brake cable, loosen the tension and loosen three bracket bolts. Unplug the intermediate cable between the front and rear cable, then the LH rear cable. Lift the LH subframe and loosen the LH subframe bolt, and fit the new cable. Check the system later.
