  The starting point for selector lever cable servicing requires placing the vehicle into neutral mode on a hoist. The air cleaner and outlet pipe need removal before taking on the center console. The process to disconnect the selector lever cable from the selector lever starts with pressing a tab then pulling the shift cable free from the housing. You can reach the cable retainer together with the rubber grommet by removing carpet and insulation from their location after that you should remove two instrument panel brace bolts.
