  A: A proper service and repair of the windshield Washer Pump and reservoir requires first disconnecting both the washer pump and washer fluid level sensors. The windshield washer reservoir needs draining before removal because it will reduce the chances of fluid spills. First remove the A/C line bracket followed by washer pump hoses then remove the A/C line retainer together with windshield washer hose before taking off the rear window washer hose when present. The windshield washer reservoir needs three retaining bolts removed while you should tighten these bolts to 5 Nm (44 lb-in) during reassembly. Be careful around the windshield washer solution which has dangerous methanol inside; read all safety labels from the solution container. Anyone should avoid operating the windshield washer pump until they fill up the reservoir.
