How to service the rear window wiper motor on Mercury Mountaineer?

The service of the rear wiper motor begins with taking out the rear wiper pivot arm together with the rear window wiper motor grommet. Bring open the liftgate window then remove the wiper motor cover trim panel. First disconnect electrical components before you remove two motor nuts securing the rear window wiper unit and retighten these nuts to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) at reinstallation. The rear window wiper motor should be removed during the next step. The installation process requires regular reversal of the removal steps with the final step requiring the nuts to be fastened to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
