Mercury Mystique ABS Sensor Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to service and repair the front ABS sensor on Mercury Mystique?
A: One should start servicing and repairing the front ABS sensor by first loosening wheel nuts followed by raising the vehicle and installing support. First disconnect the ABS sensor by removing the wheel while removing its harness wiring from the support bracket along with its clips. You should disconnect the lower splash shield from vehicles which have the 2.5L engine installed. Besides the lower splash shield of vehicles with a 2.0L engine owners must also remove it. The service requires disconnection of the ABS sensor electrical connector. Implementation of the new sensor requires the same reverse order of removal steps while following correct installation methods for all vehicle types.
