The removal requires workers to start by taking out the door trim panel along with the door pull before they cut through the Butyl strip on the door watershield using a plastic knife to protect its adhesive area. Unplug the lamp connectors belonging to the door latch remote control then remove this component by unscrewing the latch system and unfastening its handle housing. Detach the actuating rod from the latch through clip opening and disconnection of its lower end section. Cut and discard the cable tie before you remove the latch screws and pull out the door latch assembly.
