How to Service and Repair Automatic Transmission Shift Levers for the Floor Shift on Mercury Sable?

To fix the automatic transmission shift levers, take out the center console, snip off the ignition/shifter interlock cable and snip off the shift lever cable. Then, unscrew the electric connector and unscrew the bolts that hold the shift levers. To install, reverse the steps to uninstall.
