How to Service and Repair the Column Shift Cable and Bracket on Mercury Sable?

In order to fix column shift selector lever cable, the lower instrument panel trim (LH) and the shift cable on the lever have to be removed. Disassemble by removing the cruise control actuator, then disconnecting the shift cable with the manual control lever, transmission bracket. Installing: remove the locking clip and install another locking clip.
