    Q:
How to Remove and Install an A/C Accumulator in an HVAC System on Ford Excursion? Posted by Customer
    A:
The first requirement for suction accumulator HVAC servicing includes execution of the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure. Besides a back up wrench use a back up wrench for connector P1/A and a back up wrench also for tubing EV7 to prevent damage to fitting and tube when removing the suction accumulator/drier. The suction accumulator/drier can be detached by first removing manifold and tube assembly parts followed by suction accumulator/drier bracket clamp bolt removal. The technician should disconnect the A/C cycling switch from the suction accumulator/drier following its removal. Installation requires following the reverse steps of removal while servicing the new suction accumulator with PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or any oil equivalent to Ford standard WSH-M1C231-B. Furthermore, apply the same PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil to the O-ring seal. A secondary wrench must be used throughout installation to prevent mixing-up of fitting and tube damage.

    Q:
How to Remove and Service an A/C Accumulator in an HVAC System on Ford F-350 Super Duty? Posted by Customer
    A:
Starting suction accumulator service for HVAC requires execution of the Refrigerant Discharging and Recovery Procedure. Use a back up wrench on the suction accumulator/drier fitting to dismount it together with the evaporator core outlet tube after separating the A/C cycling switch connector from both items. You should start by disconnecting both the auxiliary line fitting together with the manifold and tube assembly sections. Start by disconnecting the suction accumulator/drier bracket clamp bolts then extract the suction accumulator/drier before removing the A/C cycling switch from it. Install the new suction accumulator/drier by following the reverse order of removal while using the PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil (R-134a Systems) F7AZ-19589-DA (Motorcraft YN-12-C) or an equivalent that satisfies Ford specification WSH-M1C231-B. Apply the identical PAG Refrigerant Compressor Oil to the O-ring seal and implement a back up wrench to defend the fitting and tube from damage.
