You must start service and repair work on front brake flexible hose by engaging neutral in your vehicle and mounting it on a hoist. The only approved DOT 3 motor vehicle brake fluid must be used because any other fluid type will damage brake components permanently and disable brakes and create safety dangers to people. Protect the brake pads by creating a barrier against contamination while putting them into place during all installation and bleeding procedures. Water cleaning should address brake fluid spills that touch painted areas or plastic surfaces immediately but pads must receive new replacements when the fluid contacts brake pad adhesive backing. Stick to using the specified brake parts cleaner because other cleaners might produce residues which affect the brake caliper adhesive surface. You should discard the two copper washers when taking out the brake caliper flow bolt before applying brake fluid to both threads and washers for installation. Reinstall the bolt by tightening it to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft). Begin by separating the brake line fitting from the brake flexible hose. After that detach the hose and tighten the new hose to 30 Nm (22 lb-ft) when installing it. Finishing the procedure requires you to bleed the brake system before you attach the brake line fitting properly and tighten it to 18 Nm (13 lb-ft).
