Throttle Body

You should start throttle body maintenance by removing the outlet pipe from the air cleaner. The service begins with disconnecting the throttle position sensor electrical connector after unharnessing the cable bracket stud bolt and detaching the harness retainer from both cables' stud bolts. Disconnect three components from the throttle body including the throttle return spring along with speed control cable and accelerator cable. Reverse the procedure by unwiring both cable bracket bolts then placing the bracket and cables away while tightening bolts to 15 Nm. After you uninstall the throttle body securing bolts you should reinstall them at 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Inspection of the throttle body gasket must occur before installing a new one when damage is found during inspection. After completing the reinstallation perform the opposite steps of removal to place the throttle body properly while making sure all fittings are tight.

The throttle body service requires you to start by taking off the air cleaner outlet pipe followed by disconnecting the harness retainer from the cable bracket stud bolt. You should disconnect the TP sensor electrical connector and throttle return spring and speed control cable and accelerator cable from the throttle body. The two cable bracket bolts need removal after which you must set the bracket and cables aside for now. Reinstall the cable bracket bolts by tightening them to 15 Nm (11 lb-ft). Detach the throttle body from the upper intake manifold by removing its four bolts while tightening them to 10 Nm (89 lb-in). The throttle body gasket must be removed while checking for any damage because replacing it may be necessary. The installation process ends by following the opposite steps of removal.
