How to service and repair the throttle body on Ford Mustang?

Removing the throttle body from the vehicle allows cleaning in which no objects must be used to keep the throttle plate open since this could damage the bore or plate. The first task involves removing the air cleaner outlet pipe together with disconnecting both throttle body electrical connectors. The inspection of the throttle body gasket should lead to replacement if found necessary. The next step includes removing four bolts which secure the throttle body before removing the component. The installation process requires following the opposite sequence of removal steps then tire the bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

How to service and repair the throttle body on Ford Ranger?

A correct throttle body service requires starting with air cleaner outlet pipe removal followed by bolt removal and throttle body cover unfastening. The service begins with disconnecting the throttle position sensor electrical connector alongside the accelerator cable and speed control cable and throttle body return spring. The service requires the removal of three bolts and the throttle body itself together with its stud bolt along with the bolts' discard of its gasket. Before installing the throttle body always tighten its bolts to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) torque specification. The throttle position sensor needs to get removed when servicing the throttle body. Before reinstalling the throttle body, all sealing surfaces require cleaning while new gaskets must be installed before following the removal procedure in reverse order.
