Service and repair of the brake caliper begins following several steps: placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL configuration then hoisting it. You should remove the brake caliper flow bolt while discarding both copper washers. You need to detach the brake caliper while taking out its two bolts before removing the brake caliper. Secure the brake caliper into position before you tighten its two bolts to 35 Nm equivalent to 26 ft. lbs. Use two brand-new copper washers to join the brake flexible hose before setting the flow bolt with a tightness of 47 Nm (35 ft. lbs.). The brake system requires bleeding after the procedure to finish the installation. Driver should use only authorized DOT 3 motor vehicle brake fluid because failure to do so could cause irreversible damage to brake components while also taking necessary safety measures to protect eyes and painted or plastic surfaces because the fluid is damaging to them.

Secure the brake caliper in a vise.

Reverse the removal steps, using new copper washers, and remember to bleed the brake system afterward.

Install the caliper piston, followed by the piston seal and boot, taking care not to damage the seal or cock the piston during insertion.

Bleed the brake system to ensure proper function.

First, remove the disc brake caliper and secure it in a vise.

Apply moderate air pressure in short bursts to prevent an uncontrolled release of the piston.

Clean and inspect the caliper and pistons, ensuring to remove any dirt and debris, and check for surface irregularities or wear; replace the pistons if necessary.

A piece of wood should be placed in the caliper.

Remove the piston by applying moderate air pressure through the bleeder screw port.

Take out the two brake caliper bolts to detach the brake caliper.
