After compressing the retaining clip you can sever the parking brake cable from the exhaust support bracket. The installer should fasten the parking brake cable bracket bolt to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft) torque value when performing the installation steps. Pull the brake cable assembly through the backing plate after compressing the conduit locking tabs at the rear of the cable. The process of installing the new part ends with executing the steps in reverse order to return to the original state.
