Evaporator Core

A replacement for the entire evaporator core housing assembly is needed because service of the core is not possible separately. Replacement of suction accumulator (part number not specified) is unnecessary unless the A/C compressor failed or if the accumulator shows damage. Any suspected evaporator core leak needs to have its leak rate tested before extracting the part from its vehicle position. You must remove the evaporator core housing before moving components from the former housing to the new one. You need to install the fresh evaporator core housing at the conclusion of the process.
