Service and repair of the brake master cylinder requires disconnecting the fluid level sensor connector first. The service begins by extracting Vapor Management Valve (VMV) nuts which allows the technician to disconnect the VMV hose and safely position the valve to one side. Complete the brake tube removal by disconnecting the tubes then remove the brake master cylinder nuts. First detach both the fuel line and vapor management hose from their fastener then put them aside before you take out the brake master cylinder. Installation of the brake master cylinder requires reversing all removal procedures with proper brake system bleeding as the final step. DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid represents the only brake fluid option because improper fluid types will lead to long-term brake component malfunction which can result in total brake failure.
