A service or repair operation on the axle beam begins when you position the vehicle in NEUTRAL standing mode on the hoist system. You should detach rear brake discs first before disconnecting the brake lines and rear wheel speed sensor wire harness from the rear axle assembly. The support of the rear axle assembly is essential when removing trackbar arm bolts and retaining bolts because damage to vehicle components can occur; install a suitable high-lift jack as support. First disconnect the trackbar arm from the axle through bolt removal followed by removing the arm from its bracket on the axle mounting point and tighten the new installation to 103 Nm (76 ft. lbs.). When removing shock absorber lower bolts and nuts replace them with new parts which should be tightened to 80 Nm (59 ft. lbs.). Fasten both parts of the nuts and parking brake cable brackets at 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.). When removing the springs operator must release each spring's insulator which might fall out so therefore the operator needs to lower the axle assembly carefully before taking out the springs. The new installation needs 133 Nm (98 ft. lbs. torque during the removal of trailing arm nuts and bolts. To finish the replacement work lower the axle assembly then follow backward the removal steps. Use precisely the original part numbers of suspension fasteners during replacement then tighten all components using their designated torque specifications to achieve proper fastening.
