Service of the heater core begins by draining engine coolant and following it up with unclamping the two heater hoses from the heater core. Start by taking out the instrument panel before extracting both the screw along with the temperature blend door lever. The heater core can be removed when you firstlocate and remove its three cover screws and then the cover itself. The replacement of the temperature blend door lever needs correct positioning of both the temperature blend door actuator and switch. The coolant hoses need plain water lubrication if you decide to proceed with lubrication. The installation ends by performing the reverse removal steps while filling and bleeding the engine cooling system. A leak test must occur first to check for heater core leakage when there are suspicions about leaks.

Service of the heater core requires engine coolant drainage as the first step. Begin the heater core service by detaching both heater hoses from the heater core while releasing the clamps.
