The procedures for steering gear to fluid cooler return hose servicing start by draining power steering fluid into a suitable pan while keeping the O-ring seals secure. The O-rings for power steering system lines must never be interchanged because their diameters differ between pressure and return lines. The clamp plate must be rotated to eliminate the steering gear-to-fluid cooler return hose then users can insert a new O-ring seal for the return hose. The removal process should end by filling the power steering system.

Tighten it to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
