Service and repair operations for the A/C condenser core require a step of refrigerant recovery before beginning. A leak test should be performed before removal when there are leak suspicions. The procedure starts with removing the pin-type retainers attached to 9 pins and sight shield components followed by air deflector disassembly. It is necessary to disconnect the A/C condenser core inlet and outlet lines before reinstallation while tightening them to 8 Nm (71 lb-in) and then disposing of the O-ring seals. Mark the hood latch location for realignment and reinstall it after screw removal by tightening screws to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). The next step includes removing screws securing both the RH and LH A/C condenser core mounting brackets before installation when securing with a torque of 10 Nm (89 lb-in). Reverse the removal process to install the A/C condenser core while using fresh O-ring seals and adding the appropriate amount of clean PAG oil as refrigerant system lubricant. The last step includes evacuation along with leak testing and charging the refrigerant system.
