The service and repair process starts by uninstalling 8 pin-type retainers together with the upper radiator sight shield. The second hood latch release cable must be detached from the hood latch point. It is necessary to note down the initial position of the hood latch so people can return it properly before removing the securing bolts. After bolt installation complete the tightening procedure by using torque wrenches set to 12 Nm (9 lb-ft). Move on to disconnecting the primary hood latch release cable after placing the hood latch. The installation ends by performing the removal steps in reverse order while testing the hood latch adjustment for proper hood striker engagement with the hood latch.

Service and repair of the hood latch begin by removing eight pin-type retainers while also removing the upper radiator sight shield. Disconnection of the secondary hood latch release cable follows the disconnect step from the hood latch. At the beginning, note the hood latch position before unfastening its two mounting screws that require 12 Nm (9 lb-ft) of torque after installation. After positioning the hood latch you should disconnect its primary hood latch release cable from the hood latch release mechanism. Before completing the installation check that the hood striker correctly engages the hood latch after reversing the removal steps and verify that the hood latch adjustment is in position.
