How to Remove and Replace a Door Latch Assembly for Side and Rear Doors for Single Latch on Ford E-250? Posted by Customer
    A:
The procedure for rear door latch replacement starts by removing the door trim panel when present before moving the watershield out of the way. The next step involves removing two nuts and both the interior door handle and bezel. You should disconnect the door lock actuator rivet when it exists. The side door installation process starts by detaching both the door lock cylinder actuating rod and the exterior door handle actuating rod. First disconnect the exterior door handle activating cable from the side door when the E-Guard Cargo Protection System applies. Before installing the rear door backing camera users must disconnect power connections and should unfasten the 4 screws holding the plate housing before safely placing it out of the door path. The door latch cable needs removal alongside the door lock cylinder actuating rod. You should disconnect the door latch cable from doors which utilize the E-Guard Cargo Protection System after moving the 4 license plate housing screws. The door lock cylinder cover can now be easily slid off after you have removed its two bottom-mounted tabs. To approach all door removals start by taking out the door latch remote control screw followed by the 3 door latch screws allowing access to the door latch assembly. Delete the door lock actuator electrical connector when it is available. Reverse installation requires the same procedure as removal while tightening fasteners to 12 Nm (106 lb-in) and using the Heavy Duty Riveter to place new rivets.
