The replacement process of the rear door latch begins with removing the rear door trim panel followed by setting aside the watershield. The procedure begins with removal of the rear door lock actuator rivet along with the disconnection of its electrical connector. First detach the lock rod bell crank rivet if necessary before taking out the three rivets that secure the interior door handle remote control and finally disconnect the interior door handle remote control actuating rod. The process starts with opening the clip to disconnect both the exterior door handle actuating rod and the door ajar switch electrical connectors. To continue the procedure you must remove three screws which maintain the rear door latch. The installation of the new latch requires tightening it to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) torque values then you should proceed with the reversal steps. To complete the installation new rivets should be placed using the Heavy Duty Riveter.

The procedure for removing and installing the front door latch begins with taking away the front door trim panel followed by moving the watershield to an appropriate position. The procedure starts with unfastening the door lock actuator rivet followed by disconnecting its electrical connector. Remove the three rivets followed by extracting the door latch remote control before disconnecting the interior door handle actuating rod and then disconnecting the exterior door handle actuating rod by opening its clip. The procedure requires separation of the door lock cylinder actuating rod from the door lock cylinder along with the removal of door ajar switch electrical connectors. Next reverse the procedure by uninstalling the three screws which hold the front door latch into position. Before front door latch installation connect the screws to 6 Nm (53 lb-in) torque before proceeding with the reverse order of removal steps. The Heavy Duty Riveter should be used to position a new rivet.
