The automatic transmission shift levers servicing process starts with the removal of the shift levers top control panel followed by disconnecting its electrical connectors. To proceed with servicing the automatic transmission shift levers start by opening the shift levers bezel then removing its bulb before disconnecting the TCS connector. Be careful during handle manipulation since additional force could be needed while making sure not to pull it excessively to prevent harm to the overdrive cancel button and its wires. Start by uninstalling the screw after that pull away the handle. Lift the vehicle up while supporting it before removing the shift cable along with its plastic clip. Lower the vehicle then take off the shift levers component. The installation requires a fresh plastic clip before executing the reverse installation process.

Start the shifter automatic transmission service by first removing the shifter top control panel and disconnecting its electrical connectors. Start the process by removing the shifter bezel then take out its bulb before separating the TCS connector. Put care into lifting the handle because additional force might be needed yet excessive pulling should be avoided to stop damage to the overdrive cancel button along with its wires. Next is the responsibility to remove the screw to extract the handle. Raise and support the vehicle and disconnect the shift cable with its plastic clip for disposal. Lower the car and take out the shifter from its position. The installation requires using a fresh plastic clip followed by performing the removal steps in reverse order.

The first step to fix the automatic transmission shifter starts with placing the vehicle in NEUTRAL mode on a hoist. Alleviate the automatic transmission shift lever cable from its connections to both the shift lever and bracket and dispose of the retaining clip. Begin by detaching the center console automatic transmission shift lever trim and removing its accompanying two screws from the center console finish panel. The first step requires removal of driver and passenger center stack kick panels followed by draining the two nuts at the bottom of the center console and the two screws at the front. Raise the center console before disconnecting its power point electrical connector and extracting the console. Complete the removal of the automatic transmission shift lever assembly from the vehicle by first disconnecting its electrical connection then removing the two housing bolts and finally extracting the assembly from its position. Set the automatic transmission shift lever housing assembly within the vehicle and fasten it using two nuts and two screws while tightening them to 9 Nm (80 lb-in). The installation process starts by reconnecting both power point and automatic transmission shift lever electrical connectors followed by center console reinstallation. Install two screws at the front section of the center console while installing two nuts on the bottom part. Reinstall the center console finish panel after securing its two screws. Then install the driver side and passenger side center stack kick panels before ending with nut and screw installation on the bottom and front of the center console. After securing the automatic transmission shift lever trim, use a brand new plastic retaining clip for the automatic transmission shift lever cable before placing it into the bracket and fastening it to the shift lever. Check that the automatic transmission shift lever cable has an appropriate adjustment.

Take out four screws to position the center console base aside.

Install the center console selector lever trim, ensuring to use a new plastic clip for the selector lever cable in the bracket, attach the selector lever cable to the selector lever, and lock the selector lever cable adjustment lock. Verify that the selector lever cable is adjusted correctly.

Remove the two nuts and two screws to carefully lift the transmission selector lever assembly from the vehicle.

Ensure a new plastic clip is installed.

Take off the shifter bezel and remove the bulb from it.
