The physical removal of sway bar link nuts must not employ power tools because it could damage the ball joints or boots. The sway bar link nuts should be loosened first, then the hex-holding feature must be used to maintain ball joint stability while removing the sway bar link nuts. After discarding the sway bar link-to-strut nut, replace it with a new nut that requires tightening to 35 Nm (26 lb-ft). The next step involves removing the sway bar link-to-sway bar nut, followed by new nut installation at 125 Nm (92 lb-ft). You should repeat the usage of the hex-holding feature to prevent the ball joints from rotating as you torque down the sway bar link nuts. Finish by using a torque wrench to tighten the nuts through a socket, resulting in the complete installation by following the reverse of the removal process. Always choose new parts with the same part numbers or equivalent components and maintain proper retention by following specified torque standards.
