Intake Manifold

The intake manifold service and repair process starts with disconnecting the battery ground cable followed by air cleaner outlet pipe removal. Use the instructions with illustrations to remove the components orderly. Proceed with the opposite installation sequence after dismantling is finished. You should disconnect the accelerator together with the speed control cables from the throttle body before leaving them in position outside of the intake manifold bracket. You must separate the vacuum hose together with all routing clips. The necessary step to prevent damage to spark plug wires involves twisting the boots as you lift them because correct ignition terminal connections require keeping track of the wire locations prior to removal. Disconnect the spark plug wires together with the Knock Sensor (KS) electrical connector retainer. It is essential to use gentle methods instead of metal scrapers and wire brushes or abrasive tools when cleaning sealing surfaces on the intake manifold gaskets since these methods will produce damage that creates leaks. The cleaning process should be followed by inspection of gaskets before you install new gaskets as needed.
