Intake Manifold

A proper repair of the lower intake manifold begins with complete upper intake manifold removal. First disconnect the fuel line while removing its bracket bolt before separating the fuel pressure sensor vacuum line from the fuel charging wiring harness connector. The next task requires you to disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube before moving it away from the service area. Keeping in mind that both the lower intake manifold and fuel injection supply manifold need to be taken out together as one assembly begin by taking off their bolts and then detach the lower intake manifold. You should check the lower intake manifold gaskets right after removal point and replace them with new ones if needed. Start by installing the new lower intake manifold gaskets before putting the lower intake manifold into position while installing its bolts according to the specified sequence. Reconnect the crankcase ventilation tube but also the fuel charging wiring harness connector and the fuel pressure sensor vacuum line. To complete the operation install the bracket bolt on the fuel line followed by fuel line reconnection and finish with upper intake manifold installation.

Remove the engine appearance cover and the air cleaner outlet tube.

Inspect the gaskets for any necessary replacement.

Reconnect the crankcase ventilation tube, the fuel charging wiring harness connector, and the fuel pressure sensor vacuum line.

Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector and separate it from the fuel injection supply manifold.
