A crucial requirement when servicing or repairing the Electronic Brake Control Module concerns the 4 Wheel Antilock Control and Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Module-Stability Assist where stability assist modules from vehicles produced before February 2003 cannot be replaced with modules made after that date. Before installing new modules technicians have to execute calibration and reconfiguration through the download/upload approach or the as-built database approach.
