    Service of the windshield wiper motor begins with washer hose disconnection from the LH washer jet nozzle followed by removal of the cowl grille. The wiper motor clip should be unsnapped from the RH wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft before disconnecting and moving both components separately from the windshield wiper motor. Detach the electrical connector while you unfasten the ground strap nut and place the strap to the side. Avoid hitting or striking the motor since its internal permanent magnets are vulnerable to damage caused by glass-like materials. The wiper motor unit needs to be removed together with its attached bolts and stud bolts. Rephrase the installation process to prevent striking the motor housing. After installing the windshield wiper motor the installer should begin by mounting the stud bolts then the bolts. Attach the electrical connector after installing the ground strap with its retaining nut. The wiper mounting arm along with the pivot shaft arms needs to be connected to the windshield wiper motor by beginning with the LH wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft installation on the crank pin then adding the RH wiper mounting arm and pivot shaft. Push the retaining clip until it forms a snap. To complete the procedure install the cowl grilles then attach the washer hose to the LH washer jet nozzle before mounting the LH wiper pivot arm and finishing with any necessary adjustment of the LH wiper pivot arm.
