Seat Cushion Pad, Front

Service of the 50/50 split bench seat cushion follows a sequence where you should first adjust the rear seat cushion assembly forward. The first step involves removing the retaining nut which is located at the end of the link arm then slide the link arm away from the stud on the seat cushion frame. First set the seat back assembly to an upright position and then remove both retaining nuts from the front floor attachment. After this process the seat cushion assembly can be taken out of the vehicle. Peformance of the installation process requires following the reverse order of removal steps together with system restraint verification for accurate operation.

Install the front swing rod, ensuring it is seated under the border wire in the foam, and then install the hog rings to secure the swing rods and tie down the wires.

Ensure to check the active restraint system for correct operation.

Reinstall the power seat wiring harness and pin-type retainers, followed by the front swing rod and swing rods, ensuring they are seated under the border wire in the foam.

Unhook the J-clips for both the rear and front flex mats, using the brackets on the seat cushion frame for leverage.

Proceed to remove the seat backrest recliner roll pins and the seat backrest recliners, disconnecting the actuator cable housings and unhooking the actuator cables from the recliners.
