Seat Back Pad, Front Passenger Side

The driver seat cushion service starts with recognizing that any defective driver seat cushion heater mat requires a new seat cushion foam pad installation alongside the new heater mat because using the original pad is not possible. Separate service of the front passenger seat cushion heater mat is not possible because both an Occupant Classification Sensor system service kit and a new heater mat are required for replacement. Start the procedure by removing all OCS system components. You must start from the seat removal before taking out the front seat backrest then the seat track. Once the power lumbar switch is equipped check the tabs to release them then detach the electrical connector. You must remove all retainers starting from J-clip retainers and the pin-type retainer. To detach the seat armrest alongside the bracket start by popping off the covers followed by unfastening the retaining clip and armrest pin until the armrest and its bracket can be removed. To remove the heated seat module from a vehicle requires disconnecting both the cushion heater mat and module electrical connectors followed by declaring the locking tab to unlock the module. Move on to remove the cushion frame and prepare to remove both pushpins and the cushion mat or to place the mat apart. Start by removing the seat cushion trim cover both from the foam pad and the cushion support structure. Begin the OCS system component installation for the passenger seat before attaching the cushion support to the cushion frame and finally applying the seat cushion trim cover to the foam pad. After placing the mat over the cushion support mount the two pushpins and proceed with frame installation. The heated seat installation requires positioning the heated seat module onto the bracket until it reaches complete seating ordinals followed by electrical connector connection between the heated seat module and the cushion heater mat. Secure the cushion trim cover retainers through attaching J-clips and installing pin-type retainers. The power lumbar system requires installation of its electrical connector as well as the power lumbar switch bezel. Install the bracket first, then add the armrest before setting armrest pin and retaining clip and their corresponding covers on the seat. The last steps involve installing the seat track combined with the front seat backrest while also adding the complete seat.

Fasten the cushion trim cover retainers, install the pin-type retainer and J-clips, connect the power lumbar electrical connector, install the power lumbar switch bezel, seat track, front seat backrest, and the seat, and repower the SRS.

Remove the seat cushion trim cover from the foam pad and the flexolator from the cushion frame.

If necessary, take out the two pushpins and the cushion mat, or position the mat out of the way.

Detach the seat cushion trim cover from the foam pad and remove the flexolator from the frame.
