    Start by moving the vehicle seats forward and unscrewing their two rear bolts before moving the seats back to disconnect the battery. First press the brake handle to its highest setting before taking off the lever bezel. When working on the Mariner you must detach the floor console top panel. Squeeze front and back sides of the storage bin to set the floor console finish panel's retaining tabs free. You can then detach those electrical connectors once you take out the floor console finish panel. Lift the floor console handle boot release on the finish panel before taking out the six bolts to remove the floor console. Follow the opposite steps to put the part back in place.
