Seat Cushion Pad, Rear Center Passenger Side

Service of the Taurus X second-row 40 percent seat cushion begins with removal of both the 40 percent rear seat and rear seat backrest. First secure the inboard latch foot to make the backrest pivot up. To begin the cushion service, remove the J-clip located under the seat and then access the J-clip below from underneath to separate the cushion pad from its frame. Extract the retainers of the cushion trim cover starting from the edge between the riser/seat track and cushion frame and subsequently remove the cushion foam pan together with the cushion trim cover. To disarm the riser/seat track outboard inner, first dispose of the two screws before eliminating the outer outboard cover by taking out its three screws. The recliner operation requires removing the manual recliner handle screw and the two screws to detach the recliner outer cover but ensure the release strap passes through the cover opening before reassembly. Disassemble the recliner inner cover by first removing the pin-type retainer followed by releasing the locator tabs while being mindful to handle the system which contains quick-folding springs that generate a potential injury risk. Pull out the two cables from the recliner and direct them toward the seat cushion framework. Your installation of these recliner bolts requires detaching them first then tightening them to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft). To remove the riser/seat track you need to unscrew the six cushion frame-to-riser/seat track nuts before tightness them to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft). Position the safety belt buckle bolt then tighten it to 37 Nm (27 lb-ft) before putting on the screw and inboard pivot cover and pivot grommet and finally the two screws for the riser inboard inner cover and the three screws for the riser inboard outer cover. The last step requires removing the cushion trim cover from the cushion foam pad before performing all steps in reverse order to reassemble the product.

Drive a screw partially into the rivet head to pull it out, which will necessitate installing new plastic rivets.

Remove the six cushion frame-to-riser/seat track nuts and take off the riser/seat track.

Begin by removing the 40 percent rear seat and the rear seat backrest.

Remove it, route out the cable, and remove the RH recliner, tightening to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) upon installation.

Exercise caution as the recliners are spring-loaded and may fold quickly, posing a risk of injury.

Remove the two rivets, disconnect the four connectors, and take out the driver seat module.
