The keyless entry remote transmitter programming process requires executing the operation with all transmitters at the same time. Begin by using either remote transmitter or keyless entry keypad or the door lock control switch to electronically unlock the vehicle while keeping the driver door open. To enter the programming mode turn the key from OFF to RUN position exactly eight times during a ten second time period; the successful entry will result in door locks then followed by door unlocks. The successful programming confirmation occurs when pressing any remote transmitter button produces door lock and unlock behavior during the first 20 seconds of programming. The programming process should be repeated for every remote device. Press the button once more after waiting for a couple of seconds if the door locks fail to respond. Check inspection and verification to verify that the maximum limit of remote transmitters has not been surpassed when remote device response fails to appear. The key turning to OFF position triggers exiting programming mode after waiting 20 seconds from the time of entry or completing programming of every transmitter or reaching the transmitter allowance limit.

Open the clip to disconnect the sliding door exterior handle actuating rod and the sliding door interior handle actuating cable.

Wait a few seconds and try pressing the button again.

Electronically unlock the vehicle using the RKE, RKE keypad (if available), or the door lock control switch while the driver door is open.
