How to program or reprogram all remote transmitters and Key Fob simultaneously on Ford Explorer?

A synchronized execution of programming or reprogramming tasks is necessary for all remote transmitters. The procedure starts with electronic unlocking of your vehicle by using the remote transmitter along with the keyless entry keypad if present and door lock control switch while the driver door remains ajar. Start by rotating the key from OFF position to RUN eight times in less than ten seconds; the eighth move should end on the RUN setting and successful access will cause door locks to engage before unlocking. Pressing any button on a remote transmitter during the period of 20 seconds will trigger the doors to perform locking and subsequent unlocking operations for confirmation of correct programming. The procedure should be applied to each individual remote transmitter. When the door locks do not respond to the button you should wait for a few seconds before pressing it again. Testing for inspection and verification should be performed when there is no response from the door locks to verify that the programmer has not exceeded the maximum allowed number of remote transmitters. The key moving to OFF position marks the program exit as well as hitting the 20-second timer from program entry or programming the maximum remote transmitters.

How to program the remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitters and Key Fob on Ford Ranger?

When setting up the RKE system operate all remote transmitters at once. You should either press the RKE transmitter button or the door lock control switch when the driver door remains open. After turning the ignition switch to RUN from OFF eight times within 10 seconds, all doors will first lock and then unlock to confirm program mode entry. Press any button on each RKE transmitter within 20 seconds to check if programming succeeds by seeing all doors locking then unlocking. Stay patient and hit the button a new time if the door locks remain unresponsive after a couple of seconds. Check the system for mistakes then verify if the vehicle supports the required number of RKE transmitters. When you turn off your key or 20 seconds pass with no new key programming the system will exit the programming mode.
