Washer Reservoir

The beginning of windshield washer reservoir repair work requires first removing the right-hand front fender splash shield. Before disconnecting washer pump hoses the technician must first disconnect the pump electrical connector and empty the washer fluid from the reservoir to avoid spills. Secure the bolt from the washer reservoir by torquing it to 7 Nm (62 lb-in) when reinstalling it. The next step requires removing washer reservoir nuts together with the reservoir before installing both components with a torques setting of 7 Nm (62 lb-in). Operating the washer pump before filling the washer reservoir will result in premature pump failure. After reversing the removal steps you should complete the washer reservoir with windshield washer fluid.
