Before installation you must refold unfolded rear air springs although this process works only for air springs which have not supported vehicle weight while improperly folded. The salesperson must replace any air springs displaying improper folding which appears either during pre-delivery checks or after delivery. Inflate any air spring only when it returns to the jounce stop from the rebound hanging position. Establish a method for air spring inflation and maintain constant observation of the conformed air spring shape throughout the inflation process. New air springs must have no applied vehicle load while undergoing the inflation procedure. The air suspension system deflation requires the vehicle to sit on a suitable lifting device followed by disconnecting power through the air suspension switch positioned on the LH side of the luggage compartment. To perform this installation workers must elevate the vehicle then remove the air spring retainer before lifting off the bottom air spring from the rear axle structure and detach both the electrical connector and air line by pressing the red retaining ring on the white air line. The installation process requires not compressing the suspension system before air spring inflation. Proceed by putting the air spring assembly into the frame seat and then fasten the spring retainer clip while resting the bottom section of the air spring onto the rear axle. Connect the air spring solenoid valve by fully inserting the white air line into the fitting then reattach electrical connections followed by air line attachment. Make sure to check that the air spring maintains its correct shape without any folds or creases prior to filling the air springs.
