The next step is to remove both the steering wheel bolt and wheel while discarding the bolt. During new steering wheel installation secure the new bolt to 40 Nm (30 lb-ft). The installation requires taping down the Clock Spring center rotor to the outer housing because turning it from its removal position could lead to damage of the components. Conduct the installation by reexecuting the steps in reverse order of removal.
