Combination Switch

Service and repair of the turn signal switch requires you to begin by taking out the steering wheel. Lower the tilt release handle to expose the hidden screw which allows you to remove the lower steering column shroud both with its screws. The upper steering column shroud can be separated by removing the screw which is behind the multifunction switch. First detach the bolt then push the release button followed by raising the switch. Leisurely install the multifunction switch after disconnecting its connectors through a sequence following tab activation using a small screwdriver on connector number 2. You should execute the opposite steps to complete the installation.

The first step to work on the turn signal switch requires removing the steering wheel. The second screw is exposed by lowering the tilt release handle before removing the screws from both the lower steering column shroud. The process of dismounting the upper steering column shroud demands removal of the screw located behind the multifunction switch. First remove the bolt after you push the release followed by raising the switch. The small screwdriver helps depress connector release tab number 2 before disconnecting the connectors sequentially to remove the multifunction switch. The installation process for the new switch requires following the removed items in reversed order.

Use a small screwdriver to depress the connector release tab on connector number 2 to disconnect the three multi-function switch electrical connectors.

Lower the tilt release handle.
